filipe developed an interest in art when he met and married the artist susana.  Inspired by her work and art in galleries and exhibitions globally, he now endeavours to emulate the high standards of paintings and sculptures.  Encouraged and guided by susana, he paints in oils and sculpts free form in clay and porcelain which is fired then glazed.  If his initial inspiration to take up art is his wife, the theme of his work is nature and the human form.  Recently, he has included hand moulded pottery and bas relief to his repertoire.

He and susana live in Telscombe Cliffs on the south coast of England and exhibit their work in local exhibitions.
